Crespi, Guiseppe Maria
(3/16/1665 Bologna-7/16/1747 Bologna) (Italy); aka Lo Spagnuolo
   Painter and etcher. Pupil of M. Canutis and Cig-nanis, influenced by Barocci, Veneziano, and Cor-regio. His erotic representations are based on mythological sources, such as "Ariadne and Bacchus" and other works with nymphs, fauns, centaurs, etc.
